Welcome to the South Molton Methodist Church. We are part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain, the Plymouth and Exeter Methodist District (which comprises almost 300 churches mainly in Devon and Somerset with around 9000 members). We are also part of the South Molton and Ringsash Circuit; (which comprises 7 churches on either side of two major roads; the A361 southeast of Barnstaple and up to the edge of Exmoor and the A377 northwest of Crediton).

South Molton Methodist Church seeks to serve the local community as a Christian family seeking to serve Jesus Christ. This is done through a range of activities for all ages within our building and working alongside other Christian denominations in South Molton and the surrounding area.

Our regular activities at South Molton Methodist Church include Sunday Club, Women’s Fellowship, Boys Brigade & Girls Brigade, Social groups for Babies and Toddlers and ‘Support & Nurture groups’ for young families. We also have Bible Studies, and House Groups. A welcome pack is available to pick up at South Molton Methodist Church which details all of our weekly activities, or I can post one to you if you contact me.

We serve our local community in a variety of ways, which include local school assemblies, hospital visits and services taken regularly at South Molton’s Care Homes. We have a Children and Young Families Worker at South Molton Methodist Church who runs numerous activities for children of all ages and cultures and is involved in local community activities.

We have two worship services each Sunday; one at 11 am and the later service at 6.30 pm. Usually, the 1st & 3rd Sundays are celebrated with the children coming into the church following Sunday Club. Worship in the church is a mix of both traditional and modern style, with both myself and our Local Preachers regularly leading services.

I have only been in the Circuit a few months and I have received the most wonderful welcome, as I am sure you will if you visit us for any of the activities during the week. South Molton Methodist Church is a welcoming spiritual home for anyone wishing to join us as we continue to work out God’s purpose for us as a church family. Just as Christ offers outstretched arms of welcome and acceptance I pray that as a church we will continue to do the same.

If you would like further information about South Molton Methodist Church and its activities during the week or any of the other Circuit churches please contact me and I will do my best to help.

God’s blessing to you and yours.

Reverend Anna L Flindell.
Superintendent Minister.
